Cardi B becomes the first female rapper to score three Billboard Hot 100 number ones, as Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” single tops the charts

Over the past year, Cardi B has established herself as a major star. It seemingly came out of nowhere, but Cardi B tried some singles before the “Bodak Yellow” track blew up. When the song blew up, it ended up rising to the top of the charts.

Cardi B, despite her success, was written off by the masses. People considered her a fad and said her features were keeping her hot, nothing else. When “Be Careful” hit, her third single, which outperformed her second, nothing else could be denied.

During the summer, Cardi B took Billboard, again, when “I Like It” took over the top spot. Given the success of her features, it could be said that Cardi B is giving these songs life. With Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” topping Billboard, Cardi B is the first female rapper, in history, to have three Billboard Hot 100 number ones.
