Ever since Cardi B began making noise, people have tried pitting her against Nicki Minaj. Much of this is based on Cardi B doing some shows, opening for Lil’ Kim and Remy Ma. On the heels of “ShETHER,” a comment from Lil’ Kim about collaborations led to miscommunication.
A lot of people took Lil’ Kim’s comments to mean Remy Ma and Cardi B linking with Kim for a Nicki diss track. However, Lil’ Kim was quick to let it be known she meant an empowerment record. Ironically, she did one with Remy Ma, “Wake Me Up,” just when “Motorsport” was released.
Cardi B was in London and stopped by Capital Xtra, talking with Manny Norte. During the interview, she talked about the Migos’ breakout hit single, “Motorsport,” with Nicki Minaj. She said that Nicki Minaj changed her verse, after she heard the verse Cardi B laid.
