Cardi B made a big enough impact for VH1 to cast her for the fifth season of “Love & Hip Hop.” Immediately, Cardi B brought new life to the series and expanded her fan base. After two seasons, Cardi B left the show and signed a huge deal with Atlantic Records.

Between time, Cardi B managed a cameo on “Being Mary Jane,” continuing her popularity growth. Now, she is seeing success with her single, “Bodak Yellow,” which recently charted on Billboard Hot 100. The song was at number 78, last week, and now is at number 39, her first Top 40 hit, days later.
