Cardi B responds to Sarunas J Jackson insulting her
Long before “Bodak Yellow” was even created, Cardi B explained her using the “N-word.” She said because she was Afro-Latina, she had the right to use the word. Those sentiments from Cardi B are piggybacking off previous comments from Fat Joe, in years past. Like Cardi, Fat Joe is also a Latin artist who frequently uses the “n-word.”
However, the Cardi B debate began, this afternoon, and a notable person chimed in. Best-known as ‘Dro’ from “Insecure,” Sarunas J. Jackson spoke on the matters. His initial tweet was deleted, but it seems as if he assumed Cardi B was Puerto Rican. There are many people who believe as if people of Puerto Rican descent should not use certain Black slang terms.
Sarunas J. Jackson said, in his other tweet, that Puerto Rico was mostly European, in descent, anyway. As a result, this negated her “Afro” claims. But, Cardi B is never one to back down, especially when he’s right. She got ‘Dro’ all the way together, making sure he’d never make the mistake again, letting him know her dad is Dominican, mom is Trini and Spaniard.
