Cardi B has been uncharacteristically quiet in 2022. Aside from Cardi B calling people out over the music, she has kept a low profile. However, Cardi B showed up on Kay Flock’s single, “Shake It,” alongside a host of rising rappers from New York City.
Cardi B is truly a one of a kind artist. For five years, Cardi B has dominated the game. To date, Cardi B has only released one album in her career. Since Cardi B released her debut album, she has promised to release her follow up. When Cardi B was recently asked what the delay was, she said it was her kids.
Cardi B is good for a hit single almost every year, however. Prior to Cardi B, only one female rapper ever topped Billboard Hot 100. Topping Billboard Hot 100 is something Cardi B has done four times, as a lead artist. So for Kay Flock to land a Cardi B feature, that was a big deal. However, Cardi B has spoken out about doing drill music after the “Shake It” feature. Cardi B said that she doesn’t like making that kind of music because it brings out the demons in her.
