Cardi B says her and Offset’s “Cardi B and Offset Meal” brought McDonald’s some of their biggest collaboration revenues, after some McDonald’s franchisees refused to promote the meal

Cardi B speaks on McDonald’s franchisees not promoting collab

Last month, the Cardi B and Offset Meal was officially released at McDonald’s locations. This was launched on Valentine’s Day, as the married couple also revived two McDonald’s commercials. One even aired on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Cardi B and Offset Meal contained a quarter-pounder with cheese, cheeseburger, large fries, two large drinks, and an apple pie. This meal was a massive success, however, some McDonald’s franchisees didn’t approve of this collaboration

According to TMZ, some McDonald’s franchisees don’t approve of Cardi and Offset’s  “lyrics and lifestyle.” They also attempted to cite how the Golden Arch Rule is being violated of “partnerships with celebrities and influencers that have potential risk to damage our brand based on statements they have made or their positions on certain issues.”

As a result, Cardi is now speaking out, on Instagram, in The Neighborhood Talk’s comments section. She clapped back by stating that the Cardi B and Offset meal was one of the most successful collaborations for McDonald’s. She jokingly added that these franchisees need to go get a “McWap.”

Cardi and Offset even made an appearance at the McDonald’s location in Times Square, to celebrated the launch of the meal. They stopped for photos with fans, employees, and more.
