Cardi B Says in Interview With Jimmy Fallon That She Needs To Work on a Few More Songs and Music Videos Before Putting Out New Album [VIDEO]

Last week, Cardi B released her new “Up” single. That record received high praise from fans along with its music video. The question still remains though when she will finally release her sophomore album.

Cardi appeared in a new interview on the “Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” and gave fans an update on the forthcoming project. At this point, it’s just a matter of several records and music videos that need to be completed.

“I really want my next project or anything that’s related to music to just be my album,” Cardi explained. “I just gotta focus on a couple of more songs and do all the music videos.”

Cardi also spoke on COVID-19 protocols on set of videos. This comes after she was seen tongue kissing multiple women in the Up video. She explained that testing is conducted heavily to ensure safety.

“Videos? Yes, of course, because there’s certain things that you can’t do. “Due to COVID, people can’t be touching, even though you get tested before the music video three times. You get tested the beginning of the week, the day before, and the day of, so that’s extra.”

Hopefully, fans finally get Cardi’s album soon. The last one released was her chart-topping debut project, “Invasion of Privacy,” in April 2018.
