Cardi B Says She Spent $100,000 For COVID-19 Testing at “WAP” Music Video Shoot [VIDEO]

Cardi B’s “WAP” single with Megan Thee Stallion has been the talk of social media for the past week. The music video also made a lot of noise as it featured steamy scenes from the two stars along with cameos from Kylie Jenner, Mulatto, Normani, and more.

Cardi recently spoke to i-D Magazine and discussed the precautions she had to take at the video shoot for WAP. She dropped a whopping $100,000 on COVID-19 testing. Every single person on set had to get tested.

“We had to spend $100,000 dollars just on testing,” said Cardi during the interview. “Everybody on the shoot had to get tested for coronavirus. We had a tiger and a leopard there, but we didn’t film with them in there because of safety and because of the pandemic. We spliced those scenes together.”

This is a move that many artists will likely have to do in order to ensure that their own video shoots ensure the safety of everyone involved. It’ll be interesting to see if this will be a precaution that will take place past 2020. Check out the WAP music video below.
