Cardi B says she’s open to performing at Super Bowl halftime show
For several months now, there have been discussions of who may headline the halftime show for the upcoming Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Many different names have been thrown in the air, which may now be Cardi B.
In a new interview with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live,” Cardi revealed that she’s open to performing at the halftime show. When asked about it, her response was “Yes, now I would say yes. Things change.”
Furthermore, Cardi initially passed on the SB performance, back in 2019. That was in support of Colin Kaepernick, who continued to get blackballed from opportunities in the NFL as a quarterback, ever since he knelt during the national anthem in 2016, to protest against police brutality in the United States.
Meanwhile, Cardi has also been trending due to her first single of the year being released, last week. This was “Bongos,” which included a huge feature from Megan Thee Stallion. The two previously collaborated in 2020, on Cardi’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “WAP” single, which recently hit 8x platinum status in the US.
