Cardi B’s 2018 Debut Studio Album, “Invasion of Privacy,” Becomes First Album by a Female Rapper To Spent 175 Weeks on Billboard 200 Chart

Cardi B has had another very successful year, as in March, she scored another number one single in “Up.” That came after its initial number two debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, in February. Fans are now anxiously waiting for her sophomore album to finally be released though, as they continue to stream her 2018 debut album, “Invasion of Privacy.”

IOP has been breaking charting records on the Billboard 200 chart for a while, and has now reached another milestone. According to Chart Data, it is now the first album by a female rapper to be on this chart for 175 weeks.

IOP was a hit-creating machine, as every single on this project did very well. It contained the diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow” single, “I Like It” feat. J Balvin and Bad Bunny, “Be Careful,” and “Bartier Cardi” feat. 21 Savage. At this point, the album is also 3x platinum in the US.

As of now, there is still no timetable for when Cardi’s second album will be out. The official title has yet to be revealed either. In the end though, it will almost be a lock for Cardi to have a second straight number one album, whenever the release date is fully locked in.
