Cardi B has been a superstar ever since 2017 following the success of her chart-topping smash hit single, “Bodak Yellow.” She went on to have a No. 1 album wit her debut album, ‘”Invasion of Privacy,” and also won a Grammy award for that in 2019 for Best Rap Album.

Last week, Cardi also released her new single, “Up.” That record is expected to be the No. 1 song in the country this week. What many fans seemed to have forgotten is that Cardi will also be starring in “Fast & Furious 9” when it is released. It was supposed to be released last April but it got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of now, Fast 9 is expected to finally be in theaters on May 28, 2021. Back in late 2019, Vin Diesel posted a video on set with Vin Diesel but then, her role wasn’t fully clear. According to HipHopDX, that has now been revealed as Cardi will reportedly play the role of Leysa, who is connected to Dom Toretto’s past.(Vin Diesel) Cardi’s last movie role was “Hustlers” in 2019, which also co-starred Keke Palmer, Lizzo, and Jennifer Lopez.

The last Fast & Furious film was “The Fate Of The Furious” in April 2017. That generated $1.236 billion worldwide. Thankfully, many movie theaters have reopened across the US so Fast 9 being available in theaters in May should be no problem at all. Hopefully, COVID-restriction states such as California and New York won’t have those issues.
