Carl Crawford is most remembered for being a 4x  MLB all-star as he played for the Rays, Red Sox, and Dodgers. He’s also heavily involved in the music industry as he’s the CEO of Houston-based record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. His biggest signing to date has been Megan Thee Stallion. The two haven’t seen eye to eye lately though as Megan had to get a temporary restraining order after he didn’t let her release new music in March.

A tragic incident occurred at his Houston home last as well as a 5-year-old boy and woman who was taking care of him drowned in his pool, per TMZ. He tried to assist them but it was sadly too late. Paramedics arrived but the woman and child did not respond. Crawford was having a small gathering at his home at the time.

The 1501 boss addressed what took place at his home on Instagram this today. He explained that he’s been struggling with what happened emotionally all week long and he has the families of the victims in his thoughts.

“My Hearts Heavy. The tragic events that occurred at my home will be with me forever. I’m at a loss for words I’ve struggled all week to manage my emotions and I keep thinking of the families of those who’ve passed and their grief, I know they have it the hardest. “They are the first and last thing I think of these days. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they will always be in mine.”

Prayers go out to Crawford and the friends and family members of the victims during this time.
