Whatever stood in the way of West Coast artists landing record deals, with the exception of Game signing to Aftermath, appears to be over. Game and Snoop Dogg co-signed Kendrick Lamar and pointed him in the direction of Dr. Dre, leading to his deal. Tyga is signed to Young Money, meanwhile YG is signed to Def Jam.

Starting 2013 off, Kid Ink signed a deal with RCA Records and he is now working on his debut album. Other big, unsigned, names on the West Coast are Los Angeles stars, Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy, and Casey Veggies. The prior two have been linked with Maybach Music, meanwhile the world is being introduced to Casey Veggies.

Casey Veggies can be taken off the list of unsigned West Coast rappers. Famed record executive, Sylvia Rhone, is signing several West Coast artists to her Vested in Culture label. The latest addition to the VIC roster is Casey Veggies. Vested in Culture is a joint venture with Epic Records and Casey Veggies appears to be their next star.
