Cash Cobain to release “Grippy” single with J. Cole on May 24
On Thursday, Cash Cobain confirmed his highly anticipated collaboration with J. Cole. This is “Grippy,” which is set to be released on May 24, and become one of his biggest records to date. Cole has also been on a massive feature run over the last several years, and also dropped off his “Might Delete Later” mixtape in April, which contained the Kendrick Lamar diss track, “7 Minute Drill.”
Cash Cobain’s upcoming Gippy record with J. Cole comes after he’s been buzzing all 2024, due to his “Fisherr” record with Bay Swag. This record was initially released in February, and went on to include a huge feature from fellow New York superstar Ice Spice, on the official remix, in late April. Moreover, this week, Cobain’s momentum soared even higher, as he also appeared on Don Toliver’s “Attitude” single, which included Charlie Wilson, as well.
Cash Cobain’s buzz as an artist really began to grow out of New York last fall, following the release of his “Pretty Girls Love Slizzy” project. That contained 13 songs, as well as features from Chow Lee, Flee, and MCVERTT.
