Back in 2003, Cassidy emerged as one of the brightest rising stars in the game. His “Hotel” single, featuring R. Kelly, was a tremendous success and “Get No Better,” with Mashonda, also did well. However, the Philly rapper would become best-known for “I’m A Hustla.”
Cassidy was very consistent, releasing albums every year. A near-fatal car accident kept him out of 2006’s action, but he was back in 2007, with “My Drink N My 2 Step.” Since then, Cassidy has not posted a single to chart, on the Hot 100.
This afternoon, Cassidy returned to the headlines, unfortunately it was not for the music. Instead, Cassidy was arrested outside of his own home, as police officers drove by and smelled a foul smell. Stopping at his home, they found marijuana, arresting Cassidy for drug possession, and outstanding warrants.
