Cassidy talks Freeway battle with Vlad TV [VIDEO]

Long before he began releasing such hits as “Hotel” and “I’m a Hustla,” Cassidy was one of the biggest Philadelphia battle rapper. Compared to Lloyd Banks for his strong punchlines, Cassidy would sign with Swizz Beatz’ Full Surface Records. Once he signed with Swizz Beatz, things would change for Cassidy, who became one of the biggest rappers in the game.
Cassidy last charted a hit five years ago, but has continued to make music. In recent years, along with many other artists, Cassidy can be found networking on Twitter. Sometimes this networking can cause trouble, as Cassidy and Meek Mill had a brief exchange. But, for the most part, Cassidy has been a favorite of many on Twitter.
Vlad TV recently spoke to Cassidy about battle rapping. During their conversation, Cassidy mentioned Tone Trump, who is signed to Young Jeezy’s CTE. Watching him perform in New York City, Cassidy mentioned he bumped into Freeway. Having a brief conversation with the fellow Philadelphia emcee, Freeway said he is still asked about their battle from years before.
