Cassie reaches settlement in assault & rape lawsuit against Diddy

On Thursday, Diddy was the biggest trending topic on the internet. That was as a result of his ex-girlfriend and former R&B star Cassie filing a $30 million lawsuit against him. This lawsuit was in regards to their time of dating throughout the 2000s and 2010s.

Moreover, Cassie cited instances of physical abuse and rape, by Diddy. These included her being pushed into a car and kicked, being raped in her home in 2018, and even Diddy allegedly blowing up Kid Cudi’s car, after finding out that he was briefly dating Cassie. Furthermore, Diddy is said to have forced Cassie to have sex with male prostitutes, while he record the encounters. However, sources close to Diddy went on to firmly deny the accusations.

Meanwhile, Cassie and Diddy have already reached a settlement in this lawsuit, a day after the reported news of it being filed, according to the New York Post. This was filed in Manhattan federal court, as both sides “resolved the claims … to their mutual satisfaction.” However, terms of the settlement weren’t publicly revealed.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” said Cassie in a statement. “I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably,” Diddy said in his statement. “I wish Cassie and her family all the best.”
