This morning, “Luke Cage” returned to Netflix for its season two. With the show’s second season out, the cast is making their media rounds. A lot has changed, with the landscape of superhero shows, over the past year.

Looking back at it, “Luke Cage” was slightly ahead of its time, as Black Panther really set the stage for black superheroes. Before the film made Chadwick Boseman into a household name, “Luke Cage” was here. Now, “Luke Cage” is back for the second season.

The cast members, plus the series creator, Cheo Hodari Coker, plus series star, Mike Colter, and Simone Missick, stopped by “The Breakfast Club.” They spoke with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. During the interview, the trio discussed black superheroes, “Luke Cage” season two, hip hop, and more.
