Celine Dion Follows Suit To Remove Her Single “I’m Your Angel” Featuring R. Kelly From All Streaming Services

Celine Dion has followed suit! The Canadian iconic singer has taken Lady Gaga’s cue and is removing her R. Kelly collaboration from all streaming services as well in support of the ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ victims. In 1998, R. Kelly wrote the song “I’m Your Angel” for Celine’s holiday album, “These Are Special Times,” and the two recorded the duet to be featured on her project. It’s not looking so special now…

The collaborated record did so well, it held down the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 6 consecutive weeks. They went on to sell over 1.5 million copies, and the Grammy-nominated single went on to be certified platinum. The removal comes in the wake of the triggered Lifetime docu-series and the #MuteRKelly movement. Although only Gaga and Celine have moved forward with pulling their music featured with Kells, a couple of artists have already stepped up to apologize for their collaborations but haven’t pulled the tracks. Who knows, maybe there’s a domino effect coming soon considering the numerous collaborations R. Kelly has with artists. Celine Dion’s team is currently working on getting the record removed. Stay tuned!
