Though it sounds more like a joke now, of course no offense, but Chamillionaire was once a bigger artist than Lil Wayne and a bigger priority of Universal Records than him. But, a shift took place and Chamillionaire soon found himself constantly at odds with the label. Refusing to give into Universal, Chamillionaire left the label.

Ultimately, Chamillionaire came out of the deal as a platinum rapper and with a memorable single that topped Billboard. In the years since Chamillionaire left Universal Records, the label has had a lot of success through Cash Money Records, as they signed many big names. On the other hand, Chamillionaire returned to the mixtape game.

Bootleg Kev recently linked up with Chamillionaire and they talked about his Universal exit, which flew under the radar. For the first time, in-depth, Chamillionaire opened up on his departure from Universal Records. Chamillionaire also talked about what he had planned for the future.
