During the year of 2016, Chance The Rapper fully established himself as a force in the rap game. Scoring a major hit single in “No Problem,” featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, Chance helped give both rappers a needed boost. Then, he got active with the election.

Co-signed by the likes of Jay Z and Beyonce, Chance The Rapper used his newfound fame to help people vote. He actually walked first-time voters through the Chicago streets to vote. Then, he decided to meet with the Governor of Illinois to discuss the state of the school system.

Disappointed in the conversation, Chance The Rapper donated $1 million of his own money to Chicago Public Schools. The Chicago Bulls matched his donation, yesterday. Now, fans have launched a #ChanceForMayor campaign where they are trying to urge the young rapper to run in 2019 for mayor of Chicago.
