Chanel West Coast blames Nicki Minaj for her Young Money deal not working out and says she waited a year and a half to leave the label [VIDEO]

A decade ago, Young Money was the hottest label in hip hop. With Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne dominating everything, Tyga was also making noise. The label began to expand, adding Chanel West Coast, in 2013, but she left the label, now citing Nicki Minaj as the reason.
Chanel West Coast was best-known for being an internet personality. She was one of the first people to gain fame from Instagram. In the years since then, Chanel West Coast has found a home, on MTV’s “Ridiculousness,” also doing shows like “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.”
Last week, Chanel West Coast did an interview with Shirley Ju, where her Young Money days were mentioned. When Shirley asked why Young Money didn’t work out for her, Chanel said that it was due to other people not wanting her involved. Shirley asked if it was Nicki, to which Chanel said yes, adding that she was on the label for a year and a half.
