In the late 1990s, Charli Baltimore was on the brink of rising the fame. Charli Baltimore had collaborations with The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Cam’ron, and others. After her run in the late 1990s, Charli Baltimore disappeared from the spotlight. Another star to emerge in the late 1990s was Ja Rule. By the early 2000s, Ja Rule was the biggest rapper in the game.
The popularity of Ja Rule was fueled by his label, Murder Inc. Records. Irv Gotti, the CEO of the label, began expanding the roster with new and veteran talent. In the middle of their run, Gotti signed Charli Baltimore to the label. Initially, the goal was to release her Murder Inc. debut album in 2003. However, the high-profile feud with G-Unit stopped this from happening.
Throughout the year of 2003, the dwindling popularity of the label led to Charli Baltimore leaving the former powerhouse and returning to the independent circuit. Recently, Charli Baltimore returned, this time on her own. She has a new single out, called “Machine Gun,” which will be followed by her album. Charli Baltimore’s album is currently set for an April 2012 release.
