Charlotte bar reacts in outrage to the Hornets drafting Brandon Miller [VIDEO]

Charlotte is outraged that the Hornets drafted Brandon Miller
The Charlotte Hornets have been considered one of the NBA’s worst franchises since 2004. That was when the team returned, as the Charlotte Bobcats. Many consider the first mistake being letting BET founder, Bob Johnson buy the team. NBA legend, Larry Bird, also made a bid for the team. Simply because Bird knew basketball when Johnson didn’t is why not letting Bird buy the team was considered a mistake. However, Michael Jordan has owned the team longer than anyone. Before his sale went final, he oversaw the Hornets drafting Brandon Miller over Scoot Henderson. As a result, Charlotte is upset.
With the exception of last season, the Hornets finally look like a promising team. In 2020, the Hornets drafted LaMelo Ball. Many people considered Ball to be the type of franchise changing player the team could build around. Immediately, Ball formed a duo with Miles Bridges. That, plus the veteran leadership from Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier turned the Hornets into contenders. In both 2021 and 2022, the Hornets held the fourth seed in the East, before injuries took over. Injuries and personal issues tanked the 2023 Hornets.
External circumstances left the Hornets one of the NBA’s worst teams in 2023. Many hoped this would lead to the number one draft pick. Easily, that meant Victor Wembanyama. However, the Hornets fell to the second pick. Most felt that easily meant Scoot Henderson. But Brandon Miller began gaining traction. The fans hoped it was just a rumor. But when Miller was drafted by the Hornets, the city of Charlotte had a huge meltdown. A local bar captured it all.
