Chicago’s hip hop scene is full of a lot of diverse things, including this ongoing street war that has led to thousands of deaths. The first manifestation of this to the mainstream came when Chief Keef emerged. His initial success came alongside Soulja Boy, who featured him on many records.
Friendship turned to hatred when one of Chief Keef’s artists reportedly stole Soulja Boy’s chain. Since then, their beef has played out on Twitter for the whole world to see. Many of the Chicago beefs play out over Twitter and they eventually lead to something happening in the streets.
When it comes to music, Chief Keef caught a lot of breaks, especially when Kanye West took his “I Don’t Like” single and placed Pusha T, Big Sean, and Jadakiss on it. Still, his actions have not changed. Firing the latest shot in the Soulja Boy beef, Chief Keef posted his phone number on Twitter.
