Chief Keef is a free man after spending nine days in the Cook County Jail
A little over a week ago, Chief Keef announced he would be going back to jail and it was later revealed that it was because he failed a required drug test. Only a few months after he became nationally-known, Chief Keef soon began getting into legal trouble. To be fair, he was also getting into trouble before his career took off.
In the midst of everything, Chief Keef emerged as one of the leading new rappers on the rising hip hop scene in Chicago. After Chief Keef came out, many other Drill Chicago rappers came out. Then, many other Chicago rappers have come out and they are controlling the game.
Yesterday morning, Chief Keef posted a text on his Twitter and Instagram accounts that read “I’m back bitch.” It was soon confirmed that Chief Keef was released from jail after serving nine days at Cook County Jail. Chief Keef was released from jail eleven days early and Cook County released a statement about his release.

He had been in jail since Oct. 15, when he was ordered to jail for 20 days after testing positive for marijuana. Cozart received one day’s credit from the sentencing judge, while receiving another 10 days credit for good behavior. That means he was behind bars 9 of the 20 days of his sentence.
