This is definitely a new one, right here, China McClain, who played the little girl, Jasmine, on “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” is speaking out. As many remember, her older sister, Sierra, had a role on “Empire,” last year. She played opposite Xzibit and Trai Byers, before leaving.

China, meanwhile, has made appearances on “The Paynes,” the revival of “House of Payne.” But, she is speaking out, calling out one of the biggest legends in music. Apparently, her mother had an unfriendly encounter with Anita Baker.

In the 1980s, Anita Baker dropped “Sweet Love,” her classic single, which lives on. That song has helped build an incredible legacy, where she is regarded as a legend. China McClain claims her mother tried to honor Anita, as a legend, when she was rebuffed by the singer, who defends herself, saying China’s mom was loud, and exposed her, when she was trying to keep her cover, leading to a back-and-forth with McClain and Baker.
