Currently, Chris Brown is on top of the music world and this has been the case for a little while now. Co-signed by all of the veterans and the legends, Chris Brown is popular within his own set. Barely a year after releasing X and Chris Brown delivered Royalty.

Consistency is key, something that kept Jay Z on top of the game during his original run. Of course, a lot has changed since that period of time and Chris Brown is a big part of this change. Now, rappers actually sing and singers actually rap.

Chris Brown helped usher in this new era of hip hop by dropping some dope bars. This morning saw Royalty released to much fanfare and it turns out that Chris Brown did something Drake couldn’t, defeat Adele. With Royalty, Chris Brown is number one in 23 countries, including the US, meaning he has dethroned Adele.
