Two decades ago, Kriss Kross took over the rap game with their single, “Jump!” NBA fans should know this song very well, as it is used to start many basketball games, especially during the Shaquille O’Neal-era of hip hop. Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly, along with his partner, rose to hip hop stardom.
Jermaine Dupri established himself as a record executive with Kriss Kross and Xscape making up the original So So Def roster. Kriss Kross recently appeared at the twentieth anniversary show for the So So Def record label. Despite all that went on behind the scenes, the show went well.
Only a few months after the fact, there is some bad news to report. Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly was found dead in Atlanta at the age of 34 tonight. The Huffington Post confirmed this earlier today. The story is still developing and there will be more information revealed in the coming minutes.
