Years of flying under the radar being one of the NBA’s best players, Chris Paul is finally receiving the proper recognition. Joining the Los Angeles Clippers in 2011, Chris Paul immediately formed a duo with Blake Griffin, adding to the NBA’s most-entertaining teams. Chris Paul is having an MVP year and the Clippers are one of the best teams in the league.
Chris Paul formed a bond with Lil Wayne, as he played six years for Wayne’s hometown team, the New Orleans Hornets. Off the court, the two became good friends and it has lasted them well after the departure of Paul from New Orleans. When Lil Wayne was hospitalized in Los Angeles, he received visits from Drake and Nicki Minaj and also Chris Paul.
Recently, Chris Paul opened up about his visit with Lil Wayne and the bond they share. Calling the popular emcee his favorite rapper, Chris Paul revealed Lil Wayne has chosen the Clippers over his favorite team, the Lakers, when he plays them. Lil Wayne is an avid Lakers fan and Chris Paul said he wanted to check in on him, but did not speak on the condition.
