Will Smith took all of the attention in 2022. Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s har, at the Oscars. Jada Pinkett Smith was offended by Chris Rock’s joke. As a result, Will Smith took to the stage, hitting Chris Rock in the face.
Chris Rock played the situation off, making a joke out of it, as Will Smith shouted. Later in the ceremony, Will Smith won an Oscar for ‘Best Actor.’ In his acceptance speech, Will Smith cried, and apologized to The Academy. A day later, Will Smith released a statement, where he formally apologized to Chris Rock.
Tony Rock, Chris Rock’s younger brother, took to Twitter to address the situation. Will Smith hit Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada’s hair. Chris Rock claimed he didn’t know Jada had alopecia. Tony Rock indicated that the Rock family would like a face to face meeting with Will Smith to iron out all differences. Chris Rock was spotted for the first time since the Will Smith incident. A photographer took a pic of Chris Rock getting off a helicopter.
