Chris Webby signs deal with independent label, eOne Entertainment

Quite a lot of momentum is behind Chris Webby and he is arguably the hottest independent artist in the game. Usually when a rapper rises to the surface on an independent scale, they sign a major label deal. This is not the case with Chris Webby, he likes the freedom.

Formerly known as Koch Records, eOne Entertainment has pushed out independent releases from many of the biggest names in hip hop. The name change has not slowed the company down, instead it has fit their new company model. Chris Webby and his own label, Homegrown Music, also fit this company model.

Earlier today, Chris Webby and eOne Entertainment reached an exclusive distribution deal. Now, Chris Webby has plans of releasing his new project, The Homegrown EP, which is due on October 29. The company plans to drop Chris Webby’s official debut album early in 2014.
