The past couple of years in hip hop have had an old school feel to it because a lot of older rappers have made comebacks. Hip hop is a lot more than the music, there is a culture behind it. Back in the 1990s, this was felt with people like Arsenio Hall using his outlet to push hip hop forward.

Heading into the 2000s, a lot of this was lost and Arsenio Hall’s show ended back in the mid-1990s. Recent years come off almost like a reset button was pushed and hip hop has gotten back to its roots. In the middle of all the comebacks, “The Arsenio Hall Show” even returned to television.

Chuck D was the latest guest on “The Arsenio Hall Show” and he appeared alongside the likes of Uncle Luke, Rapper’s Delight, and Spinderella. They all performed “Rapper’s Delight” together. But, Chuck D also sat down with Arsenio Hall for an interview where he spoke on Public Enemy and rap music’s historic impact.
