Cipha Sounds talks radio career, breaking into comedy, breaking early artists, and more on #TheBreakfastClub [VIDEO]

A veteran on the radio, DJ Cipha Sounds has made his rounds, but is now making his name in comedy. However, Cipha Sounds hosted the morning show on Shade 45. Then, he ended up forming quite the duo with Peter Rosenberg, over on Hot 97.

In 2014, when Angie Martinez left Hot 97, Cipha Sounds also left the station. Soon, Angie had Cipha Sounds DJ-ing her show, but he only came in for one episode. Using the time off the radio, Cipha Sounds moved into comedy.

Cipha Sounds stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he reunited with former co-host, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. Also, Charlamagne Tha God was present, as Cipha Sounds spoke on his radio history, including Hot 97, where he shaded Rosenberg, and almost joining Power 105, for an afternoon show. He also discussed his comedy and breaking artists.
