As of late, almost every entity has been under pressure to change their business practices, and even their names, to be politically-correct. A lost of inadvertent racism and prejudices rule a lot of entities, in this nation. This summer, there was a huge day of reckoning, on this.
Beginning with the outrage of the Breonna Taylor and George Floyd murders, people had enough. The pressure wasn’t just on police officers, but also on business owners. Almost immediately, the NFL franchise, Washington Redskins, dropped their team name.
Yesterday, there were reports of the Cleveland Indians changing their name. Unlike the Washington Football Team, Cleveland could have a new name as early as next week. However, according to TMZ, the name change may not take effect until the 2022 season.
