Tuesday the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards took place in Atlanta with a star studded audience in place. The legendary show was held at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. As celebrities walked the red carpet, multiple interviews took place. Although fashion and music were discussed, the conversation around negativity also made an appearance on the red carpet. Coi Leray stopped for a moment to greet fans and speak about her career. While interviewing, Coi Leray spoke about dealing with a hate train and negativity during the beginning of her career. She expressed how difficult it was at times and how she learned to accept it.

 

Coi Leray’s influence in music and pop culture is impressive and inspirational. With only five years under her belt, she’s already produced multiple billboard charting singles, platinum projects and features with raps biggest legends. She reached worldwide fame with the remix of “No More Parties” featuring Lil Durk, the single is now certified platinum. Following up with her debut album Trendsetter in 2022, the leading single “Blick, Blick” featuring Nicki Minaj went viral. Her single “Players,” also was a viral success, debuting in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. With no signs of slowing down, Coi Leray has already released her second album Coi and an EP titled Blue Moon for 2023.
