Coi Leray speaks on “Trendsetter” album and more on The Breakfast Club

Coi Leray has been on fire in 2022, as she’s carried the momentum over from her breakout 2021, into this new year. She’s put out new singles such as “Anxiety,” as well as “Blick Blick” featuring Nicki Minaj, last month.

Coi’s long-awaited debut studio album, “Trendsetter,” is also set to be released on Friday. This project will feature 19 tracks in total, with appearances from Yung Blue, Young M.A, H.E.R., Polo G, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and more. Trendsetter also contains Coi’s breakout 2021 singles, such as “No More Parties” remix, featuring Lil Durk, “Twinnem,” as well as “Big Purr,” featuring Pooh Shiesty.

Coi also recently appeared on The Breakfast Club, as she spoke on this era of music, the process of working with Nicki on “Blick Blick,” her relationship with her father Benzino, her breakup from Pressa, and more. Meanwhile, the New Jersey native also spoke on tapping into a different side of her talents, with singing, on “Anxiety,” as well as the emotions that came with creating it. That served as her first single of 2022, in late January.
