Coi Leray wears jacket of names of female rappers at BET Awards

On Sunday night, the 2023 BET Awards featured plenty of memorable performances, in honor of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. This included Busta Rhymes being honored with a lifetime achievement award, as he soon performed after his speech.

During Busta’s performance, Coi Leray also hit the stage. This was to perform “Players,” as Busta previously appeared on the remix for this smash hit record with Coi and DJ Saigee, this past spring. Furthermore’s Coi’s jacket also went on to trend on social media.

Coi’s jacket displayed names of various female rappers, in order to show love to them. Among the names listed were Cardi B, Doechii, Latto, Dej Loaf, Ice Spice, the late Gangsta Boo, and much more.

Last week, Coi also released her sophomore album, “COI.” 16 songs were included, led by additional singles such as “Bops,” “Run It Up” and “My Body.” Furthermore, Coi collaborated with Lola Brooke, Saucy Santana, David Guetta, and more. This is Coi’s second album released, since last spring.
