Coke Boy Yemen accused of using Chinx’s death for his own gain
The saddest story of the year in hip hop has to be the untimely death of Chinx, one of the most-promising rising stars in the game. Take away his celebrity status and the Chinx persona and there is Lionel Pickens, a man, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend. A life is a life, regardless.
Situations like what happened to Chinx serve as reminders that the only guaranteed time already happened. Words cannot express how unfortunate it is that Chinx was murdered, along with the people who are killed senselessly on a daily basis. Something has to give.
Chinx’s character was shown, even in death, as it was revealed that he lost his life while protecting Coke Boy Yemen (pictured left). Yemen posted many heartfelt messages about Chinx on his Instagram, but on the day of Chinx’s funeral, he is facing much criticism online. There are many accusing Yemen of trying to make a name for himself by using Chinx’s death, especially after he reached out to Funkmaster Flex to clarify his story.
Today was the day of Chinx’s funeral and Yemen was unable to make the funeral, as he had to return to the hospital for surgery for his own injuries sustained during the shooting. But, Yemen is facing disses from people even in the industry, including Trav, who called him out earlier this afternoon.
