Colin Kaepernick has been a huge trending topic in sports and on social media, over the past five years. This is due to him still not being signed to an NFL team, since 2017. This came after he took a knee during the national anthem, before games, to protest the constant racism and police brutality in the United States.
Kaepernick is unfortunately still not on an NFL team, despite recently working out for the Las Vegas Raiders. He is still doing very well with his activism work though, and has a very big contract with Nike.
Kaepernick is also now investing in Ice Cube‘s BIG3 basketball league, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports. This came after the league came close to shutting down, after five seasons. The BIG3 is currently in its sixth season. The league canceled its 2020 season, due to COVID-19 concerns. Cube started this 3 on 3 basketball league, after having a legendary hip-hop career, all while still being a very solid actor.
It will definitely be interesting to see how Kapernick adds to the BIG3, as many fans still enjoy this league. Kaepernick also recently announced that he will release his graphic novel, “Change The Game,” on March 7, 2023.
