Commanders fan punched Ravens fan in the face several times
Sports fans are among the most emotional fans in all forms of entertainment. Something as simple as their favorite team losing a game can cause a complete meltdown. As a result, many sports fans often belong to groups. These groups can be both online and in physical places, such as bars. Any time opposing sports fans link up, things could turn violent. At games, fans of the same teams get into it. The recent Commanders-Ravens game saw the opposing fans get into a fight.
Last year, the Washington Commanders got their new name. This came after two years of the team being known as Washington Football Team. Obviously, prior to this, the franchise was the Washington Redskins, but the team changed their name in 2020. At the time, the pushback against racism forced many businesses and organizations to change their names and practices. As a result, the Washington football team changed accordingly.
While the Washington Commanders have a new name, they are not without controversy. During a game against their rivals, across the harbor, the Baltimore Ravens, a fight broke out. Already, the Commanders and Ravens were playing on the field. But, in the stands, the fans were going at it. The fight started with two men fighting. A Commanders’ fan ended up punching a Ravens’ fan at least five times in the face. After that, other fans began spilling out, and getting into fights.
