Community unites to save unarmed Black man from the police

The world is still enraged, due to the Tyre Nichols murder in Memphis. After that, there was footage of another Black man being beaten by the Memphis cops. Most recently, there is a video of another Black man, who was targeted by the police. The man was standing in front of his own home, holding his phone. Meanwhile, the cops accused the man of holding a weapon. Instead of this becoming another victim situation, this man got assistance from his neighbors.

While what is going on is upsetting, there is abuse going on at the hands of law enforcement. Much of this is race related, but like the case of Tyre Nichols, he was a Black man who was fatally beaten by Black police officers. As a result, there are people who are afraid of the law, feeling as if anyone wearing a uniform is dangerous. When this Seattle man was targeted, he ended up getting a lot of help from the neighborhood.

In Capitol Hill, in Seattle, there was a man confronted by the cops. Very easily, the situation could have been another Tyre Nichols situation. However, when the cops were confronting him, his neighbors spoke up, and they defended him. As the police accused the man of holding a weapon, the neighbors screamed back in his defense. They said that the man was holding a phone, but not a weapon. After that, the police left him alone.
