Cop almost runs herself over during arrest after leaving car in drive
Everybody makes mistakes, after all nobody is perfect. However, there are some mistakes that are more glaring than others. One profession where a person can’t afford to make mistakes is law enforcement. A police officer has to be on point, especially when it’s time for an arrest. However, one officer was on the scene for an arrest, but she forgot to put the squad car in park. As a result, she had to pause the arrest to attend to the car.
There are four factors that go into an arrest, from the law enforcement perspective. First, there is the authority to arrest someone. This is the reason why the police are also called the authorities. Second, there is the intention to arrest. That means the proper authorities sometimes may have to use physical force. Third, there is seizure and detention. Finally, there is the understanding by the person who is being arrested. That’s the Miranda Rights.
When a police officer arrived on the scene to perform an arrest, she made one grave mistake. As she was performing the arrest, the cop almost got ran over by her own car. It turns out, she hopped out of the cop car without putting the car in park. As a result, the car began rolling downhill, so the officer had to jump out of the way to park the car. Meanwhile, the person who was actually under arrest also ran out of the way.
