There has been an ongoing debate about police using excessive force. People on both sides of the debate have extreme views. Then, there are those who don’t believe there is a problem. Those people argue that only certain police officers are bad. Now, an officer has begun trending online for actually body slamming a woman on concrete. When she hit the ground, cash began flying from her pockets like it was a Grand Theft Auto game.
The overall description of the police’s job is to protect and serve. Each officer, regardless of where they serve, take an oath to protect all lives and property. As a result, officers are given weapons when they’re on the job. Of course, the gun gets the most attention, but they also have various kinds of sticks, tasers, and pepper sprays. Usually, most police officers who get attention are the ones exposed using those weapons in an abusive manner.
With the clip provided, it’s hard to determine what led to this altercation. However, the officer went out of his way to prove a point to this woman. It’s not even clear if she was under arrest. The only thing that’s clear is this police officer was angry enough to literally body slam this woman. He threw her from over his shoulder to her being flat on her back. As soon as she fell, cash flew from her pockets. How it looked is reminiscent of what happens on Grand Theft Auto.
