One thing about it, Lee Daniels doesn’t hold back, when it comes to his finales. On each of his shows, Daniels always promises that a major character will be forever changed. Last year, nobody thought “Empire” would actually kill Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) until they did.
Equally important is Cotton (Amiyah Scott) on “STAR,” as she is the only child Carlotta (Queen Latifah) has. A transgender woman, there is a lot of conflict between Carlotta and Cotton. They bonded after Carlotta had Pastor Harris (Tyrese) pray for her and he went too far.
However, Cotton made more intelligent decisions, this season, getting involved with Elliott (Jack Wang). Tonight, Cotton was forever changed, when Elliott was killed by Omari (Justin Marcel McManus), but he said he wasn’t done. Just as the episode was ending, Omari succeeded in killing Cotton and “STAR” is forever changed.
