Last year, “Money & Violence” took over the online world as a gritty street series. At a time when many were talking about “Empire” and “Power,” “Money & Violence” won the younger audience. Produced by people from Brooklyn, it details the Brooklyn street life.
Funding was tough after season one and fans did what they could to help. Ultimately, Jay Z was the white knight that helped get the show back for season two. He brought the show to TIDAL and they have first broadcast rights on the show.
Making their media rounds, “Money & Violence’s” creators discussed their new work. They spoke on their deal with TIDAL and also discussed the deal they have with Lionsgate Films, who helped with the funding of the show. Doing season two with TIDAL, they spoke on season three being on premium cable, Netflix, and other bigger platforms.
