Curren$y reveals “New Jet City” features via Twitter

Much attention goes to Gucci Mane and Yo Gotti for their mixtape efforts, but many often overlook Curren$y. The New Orleans rapper first rose to fame when he signed with then-upstart, Young Money Entertainment, led by Lil Wayne. Appearing on Tha Carter II and in music videos, Curren$y later went solo.

Along with a few others, Curren$y was one of the first rappers to begin releasing mixtapes online for free download. Since, Curren$y has become a rap star in his own right, maintaining a good relationship with Young Money. With more albums planned for release in 2013, Curren$y has more mixtapes.

Earlier today, Curren$y took to Twitter and revealed few of the people he would be working with on his New Jet City mixtape. Lloyd will appear on the mixtape, handling a couple of hooks. Trinidad James, Jadakiss, and Young Roddy will also make appearances on the mixtape and Harry Fraud will produce on the mixtape.
