Representing the next generation of New Orleans hip hop are guys like Curren$y and newcomer, Lil Snupe. Yesterday, the world received shocking and saddening news about the promising young talent. Lil Snupe had the attention of the game after his freestyle for radio show, “Sway in the Morning,” at SXSW 2013.
Lil Snupe became the flagship artist for Dreamchasers Records, the new record label started by Meek Mill. Releasing his RNIC mixtape, Lil Snupe caught the attention of the game and more people were behind his movement. Curren$y was among the people who were supporting Lil Snupe.
It is so sad that Lil Snupe died right before his career took off and this took place when his excitement at an all-time high. All the world can do now is remember what was, because nothing would change what happened. Remembering the good times, Curren$y uploaded a photo of him and Lil Snupe to Instagram.
