Cyhi the Prynce has been one of the most underrated rappers out of Atlanta for over a decade now. He also went on to sign with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. Last night though, he sadly came very close to losing his life.

Cyhi took to Instagram to reveal how someone tried to shoot him while on the highway. TMZ reports that police told them that this incident occurred close to 11:41PM. A Bentley was found at the scene crashed onto the road after initially crashing into a tree.

Cyhi added that after Maserati was initially following him as he got on an exit ramp. From there, shots fired and crashed shortly after. Cyhi then ran into woods nearby to escape the shooters. They returned to the crash site to shoot at Cyhi more but he was able to flee by then.

The Atlanta rapper pondered on why this happened as he asked if this was “a mistaken identity, a robbery, or associated with something that I did when I was younger but I haven’t been in the streets in over a decade.” He also explained how violence is a reoccurring thing in his city now in the music industry.
