Da Brat announces her first pregnancy at 48
Da Brat is trending heavily on social media right now, as she just announced that she’s expecting her first child, as she is pregnant at the age of 48, according to Brat in a new interview with People.
Brat is expecting this child with her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart. Brat and Harris-Dupart unveiled this news in a new photoshoot with People, as they each sported matching black outfits. Brat’s baby bump was also on full display. Harris-Dupart already has three children of her own.
With Brat’s older age, she had to go through an embryo transfer which required surgery to remove fibroids and polyps from her body. They will also discuss this pregnancy in season 3 of their WE TV show “Brat Loves Judy.”
Brat soared to fame in the 1990s, after signing to Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def records. Her debut album “Funkdafied” was released in 1994, and became the first album by a female rapper to go platinum. It also debuted at number 11 in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.
